04/08/24

Whether you’re staying with us for only a few nights or opting to spend a few days exploring balance with a few days relaxing at the property, we’ve put together this suggested 2 day itinerary to explore a few of our favorite destinations within driving distance to Villa Torre Bianca.

Day 1: Polignano a Mare & Monopoli

Fuel the start of your day with continental breakfast featuring fresh, homemade pastries, seasonal fruit, meats and local cheeses at the villa restaurant. From there, depart to the stunning clifftop town of Polignano a Mare, known for its coastal scenery and charming old town. Enjoy breathtaking views at Belvedere su Lama Monachile, visit Grotta dell’ Polignano a Mare for a captivating natural wonder with stunning panoramas, and explore the charming old town. Here you can find yachts and speedboats available for hire and be sure to visit Lama Monachile for its stunning beach nested within a natural cove. Hungry for lunch? Indulge in delicious pizza at the renowned pizzeria on Via Roma, savor pasta at Bella 'Mbriana, or experience a beautiful meal in a truly unique setting at Grotta Palazzese.

In the late afternoon head to Monopoli, a nearby city about 13 minutes drive from Polignano a Mare, to spend the rest of your day immersing yourself in its historic streets and seaside charm. Enjoy dinner at one of Monopoli’s great restaurants to choose from including Ristorante La Dolce Vita, Palazzo Giuditta, Porta de ma, or Mare Gioioso.

Day 2: Alberobello & Ostuni

Following your daily continental breakfast at Villa Torre Bianca, drive to Alberobello (approximately 26 minutes) to experience a fairytale-like town renowned for unique trulli architecture (traditional limestone dwellings with conical roofs). Alberobello is one of three a UNESCO World Heritage sites in Puglia.

Continue your journey to Ostuni, known as the White City, and wander through its narrow winding alleys up to the hilltop where you’ll enjoy panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea. Spend some time soaking up the afternoon sunshine at Punta Prosciutto beach.

Take a leisurely drive from Ostuni back to Villa Torre Bianca (approximately 45min) and return in time to take in the Apulian sunset over a dinner of traditional regional cuisine at the villa restaurant.
